How to create coupons guests can redeem

In Rex, you can create specific discounts. Discounts that can only be applied for certain packages, on certain days, at certain times, or you can create broad discounts that apply to all packages, at all times. View below to see how to create yours.

 

Creating Discounts

Turning on Discounts

Allowing discounts is a feature that must be toggled on. Without toggling on discounts, any discount you create will not be shown. 

To do this head to the venue you'd like to toggle discounts on for, under the general tab head to venue info and toggle on enable discounts

Creating the Discount

Click the Promotions tab on within the admin backend

Select +Discount button in the top right of the discounts screen

Discount name = the name of this discount for you to know which discount this is

Coupon Code = the code guests must enter to redeem the discount

Discount Type = is your coupon percentage based, or a flat dollar amount

Amount = what is that percentage or dollar amount

Status = is this active? not active yet? or should it be deleted

Click save

 

Once created you must assign it's schedule, when can this discount be applied

Start date and end date = any packages purchased between these 2 times can have the discount applied to them

Schedule below: You can be specific. set the times the discount can be applied. Is this a late night discount? Monday discount?

Once you finish creating the schedule, you must select which packages this discount applies to. 

You then can decide if this promotion applies to any of the addons.

 

Advanced Features

 

Bulk Clone a Discount

By cloning a discount, you create up to 999 unique discount codes. This works fantastic paired with the next feature, one time use codes with a unique code for each.

Max Usage

You can assign how many times this specific coupon code can be used. 1 time, 3 times, you name it! Paired with the above, you can bulk create hundreds of one time use codes.

Minimum Purchase Requirements

Set a minimum purchase required to use the discount! If they need to spend a certain amount before they are able to redeem the discount, set that here!

Eligibility

Make the discount for a specific person. Tie the discount code to a specific email. Only that email will be able to use the discount code!
