      How to Transfer Your Members to Rex Reservations

      This guide will walk you through transferring your members to Rex Reservations, especially if they’re currently using another platform for memberships or payments. By the end, your members will be fully connected to Rex and able to enjoy all its benefits.

      • Transfer existing members to Stripe.
      • Set up memberships in Rex.
      • Link Stripe payments to Rex memberships.

      Step 1: Set Up Members in Stripe

      If your members are already in Stripe, skip to Step 2.

      1. Add Members to Stripe

        • Locate your current list of members.
        • Add each member as a customer in Stripe.
        • Include as much information as possible (e.g., name, email).

      2. Create Stripe Subscriptions

        • For each customer, create a subscription in Stripe.
        • Set the start date to match their existing membership cycle (e.g., the 15th of the month or the date their annual membership renews).
        • Add the membership details, such as recurring cost and description.

      3. Obtain Payment Information

        • If you already have the member’s card details, input them directly in Stripe.
        • If not, send an email invoice to collect payment. Once paid, their card will be saved for future automatic payments.

      Step 2: Create Memberships in Rex

      1. Log Into Rex

        • Navigate to your Rex dashboard.
        • Create a new membership plan. Include:
          • Membership name (e.g., "Roller Skating Membership").
          • Description and image.
          • Recurring cost.

      2. Set Up Member Benefits

        • Define the discounts or perks for the membership. For example, discounted reservations or exclusive access to activities.

      3. Prepare for New Members

        • This setup also allows new members to purchase memberships directly through Rex in the future.

      Step 3: Link Members to Rex Memberships

      1. Access the Host App

        • Open the host app and navigate to the Guest View.
        • Search for an existing guest or create a new guest profile.

      2. Attach Membership

        • Assign the relevant membership (created in Rex) to the guest profile.
        • Click the Add Membership button and select the membership plan.

      3. Connect to Stripe

        • Locate the Stripe subscription URL for the member.
        • Paste this URL into the membership connection field in Rex.
        • Save the integration to tie the member’s Rex profile to their Stripe subscription.

      Final Steps and Testing

      1. Verify the Setup

        • Ensure the guest profile is fully linked to both Rex and Stripe.
        • Test by creating a reservation to confirm benefits are applied correctly.

      2. Repeat for All Members

        • Follow these steps for each member to complete the migration process.
