By default, your reservation page URL will read something like this: venuename.reservewithrex.com
Before going live, we recommend changing this to a subdomain on your own site. A subdomain is a subset of your root domain that you add as a prefix to your domain, such as www. In the example above reservewithrex.com is the root domain and venuename is the subdomain.
To set up a subdomain for your reservation page, you should first decide what you would like it to be. If your website is www.venuename.com, some examples of subdomains for your reservation page would be:
reserve.venuename.com
parties.venuename.com
bowl.venuename.com
axe.venuename.com
play.venuename.com
To make this change, you first have to login to your domain provider and navigate to DNS settings and add a CNAME record
Enter the text that you want to add as a prefix where it says host. For example, reserve.
Host = reserve
To point the subdomain to your reservation page, paste launch.reservewithrex.com in the points to field.
points to = launch.reservewithrex.com
Most DNS updates take effect within an hour, but could take up to 48 hours to update globally.
