How to Use the GoTab Integration

How to open the guests tab in GoTab and apply their Deposit to the Tab

The Rex/GoTab integration is essentially a 3 step process.

  1. The guest reserves their reservation in REX
  2. Your Staff checks in the guest when they arrive, opening their tab in GoTab
  3. You apply their "event deposit" to their tab, and they pay remaining to close the tab.

The Rex/GoTab integration streamlines the guest reservation and payment process in three steps:

  1. Guest Makes a Reservation
    When a guest reserves a spot through REX, it secures their booking for the selected resource, holding their place until arrival.

  2. Check in the Guest
    Upon the guest’s arrival, simply check them in through the host app in REX. This action will automatically open a tab in GoTab for them, allowing your staff to add any items or services directly to the guest's open tab as needed. Click here to learn more about checking in guests.

  3. Apply the Event Deposit
    The tab represents the total cost of all items and activities added. If the guest has paid an event deposit, it will be available in GoTab to apply against the tab balance, reducing the amount they owe at checkout. For instance, if they paid $5 towards a bowling reservation, apply this $5 event deposit to their tab to adjust their final balance accordingly.
