Add modifier options to an add-on

Modifiers are groups of choices presented to guests when they select an add-on. For example, a "Beverage Package" add-on might have a "Size" modifier with options Small, Medium, and Large.

Navigate to Add On Modifiers

Navigate to the Modifiers section of the Add Ons management page.

You will see the full list of modifier groups. Click [Create Modifier] to add a new one.

Create the modifier group

A dialog opens. Enter the modifier title (shown to guests), internal name, type, and priority. Click [Save changes] to add the modifier to the list.

Open the modifier's detail page

Click the modifier row in the list to open its detail page, which has three configuration sections: Modifier Info, Modifier Details, and Options.

Configure modifier details

Click [Edit] on the Modifier Details card. Set the modifier type, priority, required status, and (for multi-select) minimum and maximum quantity. Save when done.

Add options

Click [Edit] on the Options card. Click [Add Option] for each choice you want guests to see. Enter a name, price (0 for no extra charge), and priority for each option. Click [Save changes] when done.

Assign the modifier to an add-on

Navigate to the target add-on's General tab. Scroll to the Modifiers section. Check the checkbox next to each modifier you want active for this add-on. Changes save immediately.

Create Modifier dialog

FieldDescription
Modifier TitleThe label shown to guests when choosing options (e.g., "Size", "Flavor").
Internal NameInternal identifier used in reporting; not shown to guests.
Modifier Type**Single Select** lets guests pick one option. **Multi Select** lets guests pick multiple options.
PriorityControls display order relative to other modifiers on the same add-on. Lower numbers appear first.
RequiredWhen on, guests must select an option before completing checkout.

PriorityDisplay order for this modifier group.
RequiredForces guests to make a selection.
Minimum QuantityMinimum number of options a guest must pick (Multi Select only).
Maximum QuantityMaximum number of options a guest can pick (Multi Select only). Set to 0 for no limit.

Options

FieldDescription
NameThe option label guests see (e.g., "Small", "Chocolate").
PriceAdditional charge when this option is selected. Enter 0 for no added cost.
PriorityDisplay order within the options list.

Notes

- Modifiers are shared across add-ons. One modifier group can be assigned to multiple add-ons.

- Deleting a modifier removes it from all add-ons it is currently assigned to.

- To remove a modifier from a specific add-on without deleting it, uncheck it in the add-on's Modifiers section.
