Override the confirmation email for a package

Every venue has one default confirmation email, edited under your venue's Guest Email Confirmation settings. A package can replace that wording entirely with its own — useful when one package, like a private event or a package built around a different activity, needs confirmation copy that doesn't match the rest of your packages.

1

Open the package

Open the venue you're configuring, switch to the Packages tab, and click the package you want to give its own confirmation email.

2

Open Package Language

On the package page, find the Package Language card and click Edit.

3

Turn on Override confirmation email

Switch on Override confirmation email. Six fields appear: Email Subject, Section 1 Title, Section 1 Paragraph, Section 2 Title, Section 2 Paragraph, and Email Note.

⚠️Warning

The override is all-or-nothing. Once it's on, none of your venue's confirmation email wording is used for this package — not even to fill in a field you leave blank. A field you leave blank removes that part of the email; it does not fall back to the venue's text. Turn the toggle back off to fully restore the venue's confirmation email for this package.

FieldDescription
Email SubjectThe email's subject line. Required while the override is on — Save changes stays disabled until you enter one.
Section 1 TitleHeading for the first content section of the email body.
Section 1 ParagraphBody copy under Section 1 Title. Supports rich text.
Section 2 TitleHeading for the second content section of the email body.
Section 2 ParagraphBody copy under Section 2 Title. Supports rich text.
Email NoteA closing note near the bottom of the email. Supports rich text.

Save your changes

Click Save changes.

Where the overridden text shows up

This isn't limited to the first email a guest gets. Once the override is on, this package's text is used everywhere Rex sends its confirmation copy: the original booking confirmation, the day-before reminder email, the email sent when a reservation is updated, and a confirmation a staff member resends to a guest.

ℹ️Note

Show policies on email is a venue-wide switch with no package-level equivalent. Turning on this override doesn't change whether your venue's policies appear on the email — that stays controlled at the venue level.

To edit the venue-level confirmation email this override replaces, see Edit your venue's booking page text, FAQs, and emails.
