Reservation email vs. event email — which address gets which notifications

When creating a venue in Rex, you are asked to provide two email addresses: a reservation email and an event email. These control where different types of guest communications are sent.

How the two emails work

Most common

Reservation Email

Receives all notifications related to reservations and package bookings made through the reservation page.

Example: reservations@yourvenue.com

Best for: Day-to-day booking notifications

Event Email

Receives all inquiries and submissions from the contact page or event inquiry tab on your reservation page.

Example: events@yourvenue.com

Best for: Event inquiries and large party requests

Your reservation page has two guest-facing areas: the reservation/packages section and the contact/event inquiry section. Any activity on the reservations side sends notifications to the reservation email. Any activity on the contact or event inquiry side sends notifications to the event email.
